Second Life: Graphic Gripe
I'm not about to complain that I'm in a part of Second Life where the action it too graphic (because I'm not) but I am about to whinge about the fact that if I now try to launch Second Life it tells me that my video card is out of date or unsupported.
That'll be the exact same video card that has run perfectly well every time until tonight?
Playing around with technology always involves a certain degree of pain but things like this are just so annoying. To put it mildy

Wireless Penetration
Some time ago I mentioned some research that suggested that wireless access increased Internet penetration. Since I've lost the wireless capabilities on my aging laptop I've definitely found it more difficult to keep up blog postings.
I either have to break away from something at work or have to use a particlar computer in a specifc room in my house. When the laptop was fully functional it was much easier to break away from activities for a few moments anywhere in the house (or even garden) and make a quick posting. Must get the wireless sorted!

Breaking the Duck!
Okay I've finally broken the recent postings duck.
Like many of my colleagues I'm currently working through piles of marking.
Final year exam scripts are top of the list as they have to be marked, second marked, and then posted out to the external examiners to a very tight deadline.
Oh joy!
