RIP David Bayliss

Today was the funeral of a long standing colleague called David Bayliss.

Dave was one of those colleagues who was always really helpful, often funny and good to spend time with.

There was a UCU branch meeting earlier this week (Wednesday) where a minute's silence was held for him.

I trust that UNISON did something similar if they were meeting and that the university publication (Grapevine) will carry an article on a long serving and popular colleague.

E-Learning Session

Today I attended a pretty long but most definitely useful session run by a couple of guys from the University of Leicester.

They were from the Beyond Distance Research Alliance perhaps best known for its Media Zoo and Gilly Salmon.

Learnt a few useful things and they also affirmed some of my own best practice/e-learning experimentation.

Another Long Break!

Okay it's been another long break since I last posted to this blog.

I tend to concentrate my efforts on my third year module blog for Economists.
